To attach the exterior fabric to the lining, you’ll need the finished width plus a minimum of 2u2033 on each side for the side hem plus the side seam allowances. For our panel, the equation was: 50u2033 u2013 3u2033 1u2033 = 48u2033.

Pull the lining panel to align with the opposite side of the curtain panel. Pin and stitch this second side with a u00bd seam allowance, lining up the top raw edges and sewing from the top to the bottom. It is best to keep the outermost hooks no more than about u00bd in from each side to prevent any weird “drooping.”
