Measure from the waist down to where you’d like the skirt to end (usually right above the knee for little girls) for a 3T-4T size:. Skirt Width u2013 42 inches * Skirt Length u2013 15 inches * Elastic Length u2013 22 inches. Serge around the top and bottom of your skirt to finish the raw edges.

What is the difference between a full and half circle skirt?
The green skirt in the photo is a ‘half’ circle skirt; a ‘full’ circle skirt, on the other hand, has twice as much fabric and is thus more voluminous.
How much fabric do I need for a full circle skirt?
You will need different widths of fabric depending on the length of the skirt. For a skirt above the knee or one that sits at the knee, I recommend 45-60 inch fabric and 2.5 yards. For a floor length skirt, you will need 60-90 inch fabric and 3 yards.
Can you make a skirt with 1 yard?
Sewing a simple skirt from a yard of fabric is probably the simplest sewing project you can do, and you don’t even need a pattern!
