Make your own sun screens
To make a sun screen, measure your windows and go to the store, where Lowes and Home Depot sell screen frame kits that include everything you need for screen material and a roller tool.
Tools:
Scissors, box cutter drill, screw driver, metal saw, screen spline roller, and other cutting tools
General instructions:
Measure your window to determine the size of the screen frame, then cut a piece of screen to fit over the metal window frame. To hang the screens, we drilled into the metal frame at the top and bottom and used the plastic screen clips.
Bonus!
The Container Store only had the elfa basket, which can be installed on a track in a cabinet and easily pulled out for easy access, as well as easily lifted out to get at anything stashed in the very back of the cabinet.
