Because my son’s crib is against the wall, I only needed a one-sided crib skirt, but this method can also be used to make a crib skirt panel for each side of the crib. To make a single box pleat side panel, cut a piece of fabric 18u2033 longer than the length of the crib deck and 8u2033 taller than the desired finish.

Fabric is 43u2032u2032 wide (sometimes more, usually not less) and 160 / 43 = 3.72 and then round up to the next whole number = 4. My skirt will be 10u2032u2032 high, so 4 x 10 = 40u2032u2032 40u2032u2032/36u2032u2032 = approximately 1.25 yards of fabric.
