How do you trim a table runner?
Steps to follow:
- Cut or tear two pieces of equal size.
- Sew the long seams right sides together.
- Press the seams to one side, from the inside and outside.
- Press flat.
- Topstitch about 1/4″ (presser foot width) from the edge on both edges.
How do you machine quilt a table runner?
At the start of the quilting design, place the runner under the machine and hand-turn the flywheel once to bring the bobbin thread up through all layers to the top of the runner. Hold both the bobbin thread and the upper thread as you slowly stitch the quilting design.
