I love headbands but rarely wear them, so I wanted to show you how different prints and substrates translate differently. For these headbands, I used fat quarters and scraps of Spoonflower fabrics (my prints).

Turban- Style Knotted Headband

-fat quarter of fabric (any type!). u2013plastic headband (no teeth). u2013hot glue/gun. u2013quilt batting (if you want to add some volume to a thin fabric).

Padded Headband

Cut the seam allowance from your hand-stitching down to 1/4u2033. Wrap your headband and glue as you go. You can make a marking on the headband for where you want to sew beads, or wing it like I did. Weave the thread in and out of the foam (just barely) and thread, adding beads as you go.
