The Poor Man’s Guide to an Easy No-Sew Doll Wig Cap and Wig
You want the concentrate, not the sprayer, of L.A.’s Totally Awesome, an all-purpose cleanser with an “As Seen on TV” stamp. I prefer this to Goo Gone because I have trouble getting Goo Gone to wash doll hair. If it floats, push it down with a stick until it fills and sinks. You don’t want to touch this stuff because it will make your skin sad.
How do you attach hair to a dolls head?
Attach the hair to the doll’s head with glue.
- Apply a thin line of tacky glue to the center of the doll’s head.
- Lift one side of the doll’s hair up at the part and apply a thin line of glue, spreading it around the side of the head.
How do you make a wig out of yarn?
- Cut off the excess fabric.
- Sew up the hole so that the wig cap fits close to the head.
- Plan where you’ll put your wefts.
- Decide how long you want your hair to be.
- Wrap your yarn around that object multiple times and cut all of the yarn off at once.
Can you flat iron yarn?
Cut strands of yarn DOUBLE the length you want the hair to be, if not longer, and straighten it with a hair straightener once you’ve fluffed out all of the hair you think you’ll need.

- Thread the Needle. Dip one end of your hank into a cup of water.
